That is...
a tortoise :)
A tortoise was in the dog section so I was really surprised! When I checked the lase cage of the dog section, the tortoise was slowly walking in the cage. When it found us, it walked toward us kind of faster than I thought.
It wanted to go outside of the cage... but only its head could go outside.
A turtle :)
I often see this turtle there.

I've never seen the tortoise before so I was excited a lot. I wanted to pet it but I was scared because I didn't want to get bite ... :)
I think tortoise are cute. In fact, I had a friend who was looking for one because their's one died. I would have never thought of looking there at Humane Society. I have 2 dogs; a PomChi and a Bull Terrier. A fried gave me my PomChi from her litter, pure bred and free. I named her Miah becuae my maiden name was Jeremiah so I used a part of it to name her and it suits her well. Then we adopted a stray about a year ago and named her Ilikea (white skin) after a song, Wahine Ilikea, because she is white with pink eyes lids, nose and ears and colored eyes. She was abused throughout the neighborhood and we slowly made her feel comfortable enough to sit and eat in our garage and play with her, bathe her and now the rest is history. We love our new addition to the Kaeo Ohana.
